Are most Chai's made with or without black tea?

Most Chai's have black tea in the blend, like our Masala Spiced Chai. But we didn't want to leave out the caffeine sensitive chai lovers of the world, so our Master Blenders created this deliciously spicy, colorful dance of freshly ground, traditional chai herbs and spices to enjoy anytime of day or night.

Can I drink the loose-leaf Herbal Spiced Chai or Masala Chai straight, without milk, as I sometimes do your Monsoon Chai Signature teabag?

Technically, yes you can, once the herbs and spices are strained, but the addition of warm milk (or your preferred milk substitute) definitely pronounces the spices and herbs into the equivalent of a warm hug (in a cup). Traditional chai is simmered with milk on a stove top, filling the kitchen with a decadent, rich spicy aroma (as if you were at home baking all day, but weren't!).

What is the difference between Masala Chai and Herbal Spiced Chai?

Our Herbal Spiced Chai provides the perfect indulgence for those that love the spiciness of a traditional chai, but without the caffeine.
