About This Blend

The Fuzhou area of the Fujian province is renowned for its jasmine tea, crafted in the cool evening air perfumed by jasmine blossoms along the banks of the Min River. To create the most sophisticated jasmine teas, golden blossoms are carefully hand-picked during the heat of the day, while still tightly closed. As night falls, they unfurl, releasing their intoxicating fragrance, which is meticulously infused into the tea leaves. This scenting process is repeated up to seven times, allowing the tea leaves to absorb the blossoms' precious essence.

Best enjoyed in the morning, this tea offers a delicate, aromatic experience perfect for a refreshed palate. For optimal flavor, infuse with fresh, cold water (preferably reverse osmosis, low-mineral).

The Imperial Scenting Method is one of the most significant techniques in the ancient tea world. Explore our expert iterations of this method, in our smoked teas (BC Forestea) and successive vintages of French oak barrel-aged experiments in collaboration with Rudd Estate Winery (2014, 2024).
