Monkey Picked Oolong, named for its exceptional quality and rarity, is hand-harvested from the tender top leaves of tea bushes grown at high elevations. Legend has it that trained monkeys would scale steep cliffs to reach the ancient tea bushes—too high for farmers to harvest by hand—gathering the finest, most delicate leaves prized for their intense complexity. This tradition is closely associated with Ti Kuan Yin, Wuyi Mountain, and Anxi Province oolongs varieties—where our Monkey Picked Oolong is respectfully cultivated.
