It’s always golden hour with this gorgeous Golden Turmeric Chai baked oatmeal! With turmeric as the leading lady, your entire body will thank you! Turmeric is sought for its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, and can help relieve tension and soothe muscles, preparing you for a restorative day. Oats provide a great option for a filling meal at any time of day, because who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner - and lunch?! This recipe provides a great basis for a baked oatmeal that goes beyond, offering wellness properties that you can’t get from oatmeal alone. While we’ve included apple sauce and maple syrup as delicious ingredients to offer natural sweetness, we’re sure you’ll find the “sweet spot” that works for you. If you’re tight on time in the morning to make baked oats, try the Golden Turmeric Chai in your favorite overnight oats recipe. 


Please note - this recipe includes nuts and dairy. Both can be omitted or modified according to dietary restriction.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. TEALEAVES Organic Golden Turmeric Chai Botanical Powder
  • 1 cup Steel Oats
  • ⅔ cup Toasted Pecans, Finely Chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. Maple Syrup
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 cup Milk (Plant-Based or Dairy)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp. Apple Sauce
  • Toppings

    • Blueberries (optional)
    • Dash of Cinnamon
    • Chopped Pecans (Optional)
    • Pomegranate (optional)
    • Milk (Plant-Based or Dairy)

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees & grease a 9 inch baking dish,  or equivalent-sized dish.
    2. In a large bowl, combine steel cut oats, toasted pecans, and TEALEAVES Organic Golden Turmeric Chai. Mix to combine.
    3. Pour in milk, vanilla, maple syrup, and apple sauce & stir to combine. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
    4. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the oatmeal mixture. Place the dish in the center of your oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the oatmeal appears set and slightly golden on the edges.
    5. Remove from oven and serve.
